Do Goldfish Really Have A Ten-Second Memory?

"Goldfish can recognize and remember their owners or keepers", says London Aquarium Aquarist Luke Rosser, like a dog "man's best-friend". The reason is, they'll swim to the surface expecting food when the owner approached the tank. They also disoriented if you rearrange the objects or plants around them", in addtion of Rossser's researched.
Research at the University of Utrecht in Holland supports Rosser's view, finding that carp-close relatives of the gold fish-will avoid a particularly bait. Once caught with it, for a year or more.
